Abstract Renewable energy should reach its maximum usage capacity, around 20%, by 2025, as laid out the Malaysian government to achieve seventh Sustainable Development Goals (SDG): Affordable and clean energy. Many actions have been implemented support idea, including development of solar panels in large photovoltaic installation. However, installations require a wide area land, efficiency offered is limited due their fixed position. The absorbing light from sun important increase supply. Several designs adaptive panel were developed researchers, but installation costs are high components used. Commonly used actuators move motor (DC motor, stepper servo motor) that actuate according signals photosensor, programming logic control (PLC), or microcontroller. Herein, an Adaptive Solar Panel (ASP) studied. SMA with recoverability when it strained introduced actuator capable generating actuation heated panel. In discovering potential wire, modern environmental-friendly design six layers rotational system was designed this study. future work, wire will be evaluated computational simulation method using LS-Dyna.
